Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister’s talk with the two leaders in farewell meeting There are vast opportunities for cooperation in different fields between Cambodia and Pakistan

Lahore: 26-11-2012: Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Dr Sok An has left for home after visiting Pakistan at the special invitation of Pakistan Muslim League senior central leader and Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi.
During his farewell meeting with Ch Shujat Hussain and Ch Parvez Elahi, the Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister said that he was very much impressed by the passion of the two leaders for service to the people which is intended to elimination of poverty, illiteracy and unemployment and provision of best possible facilities to the common man.
Dr Sok An highly appreciated the warm hospitality extended to him and his delegation and said that for this he was grateful to both the leaders. He said there exist vast opportunities in different fields between the two countries.
After arrival here from Islamabad along with his 10 members delegations, the distinguished Cambodian guest inaugurated Consulate of his country on Ch Zahoor Elahi Road, held talks with Ch Shujat Hussain and Ch Parvez Elahi and visited places of historical interests.
Pakistan Muslim League President Senator Ch Shujat Hussain and Honorary Consul General of Cambodia Salik Hussain received Dr Sok An and his wife at the Lahore Airport. Senator Mushahid Hussain accompanied the Cambodian delegation. On arrival at the State Guest House, the Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia, first dignitary of his country to visit Pakistan, was received warmly by Ch Parvez Elahi and Advisor to the Prime Minister Muhammad Basharat Raja. Later, a luncheon reception was hosted in honour of the distinguished guest and members of his delegation there.
The two Deputy Prime Ministers held talks on different matters including industrial, economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries. Ch Parvez Elahi apprised Dr Sok An about record development works for welfare and well-being of the people undertaken during his Chief Minister ship in the Punjab and also remarks and comments of the international organizations in appreciation of these peoples welfare oriented projects.
Dr Sok An said that he was very much impressed by the successful development programmes and projects of the Pakistan Muslim League Government in the Punjab which quite rightly have been appreciated by the World Bank, Asian Development Bank and other international organizations. He expressed the hope that cooperation in different fields would increase between the two countries.
Later on, the distinguished guest from Cambodia along with his wife and members of the delegation visited Badshahi Masjid and the Fort and highly praised the Mughul style architecture of the historical sites. Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed and MPA Samina Khawar Hayat accompanied the Cambodian delegation.
