Shahbaz Sharif as Health Minister should get an inquiry done by an impartial commission against himself over deaths of poisonous cough syrup in Shahdara Town, sympathizes with bereaved families
Lahore (November 27, 2012) Pakistan Muslim League Central Information Secretary Senator Kamil Ali Agha has expressed grave anger and sorrow over continuous increase in the deaths due to consuming poisonous cough syrup in Shahdara Town, Lahore and said how many more lives of innocent people in the Punjab would be taken by “Khadam-e-A’ala” due to his inefficiency, people are very much concerned as to when they would get rid of the govt. distributing dead bodies instead of protecting their life and honour.
In a statement issued here today, Senator Kamil Ali Agha said that merely through politicking and ordering an inquiry Shahbaz Sharif cannot acquit himself of the responsibility, as the Health Minister he is responsible for all these deaths, he should get an inquiry done against himself only by an impartial commission so that the people come to know who is the real culprit.
He said when Shahbaz Sharif has kept so many and important ministries himself then he should also accept responsibility for all shortcomings, wrong doings, corruption and maladministration in all these ministries. He said Shahbaz Sharif is an expert in “topi” drama and as such he is not ready to remove cap of even one ministry from his head as such no policy is framed for the welfare of the people in any ministry or department nor any such work is done which benefits the people at large or they at least perform their routine duties in an appreciable manner.
Continuing Senator Kamil Agha said that like the politics of the Sharif Brothers occupying the govt. in the Punjab, now there is adulteration in everything in the province, sometime scandal of spurious medicines provided to the heart patients in the govt. hospitals surfaces, other time dengue fever erupts as a result of fake mosquito spray and now poisonous cough syrup is taking lives of the people. He said during their inefficient rule every year one or other scandal surfaces as a result of which many innocent people die
