Chinese Communist Party Delegation calls on Deputy Prime Minister Ch. Parvez Elahi

Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi here today. During the meeting PML Central Information Secretary Senator Kamil Ali Agha, party’s International Wing’s former President Akram Zaki, Women’s Wing chief Farrukh Khan, Advisor to the Prime Minister Muhammad Basharat Raja, Youth Wing leader Ajmal Wazir and former President of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Abdul Rauf Shah and Munawwar Mughul were also present. Views on cooperation between Pakistan Muslim League and Communist Party of China, further strengthening of economic relations and general relations between the two countries exchanged during the meeting and various proposals were presented. Ch Parvez Elahi felicitated Mr Li Jenroe on holding of 18th Congress of the Communist Party and election of new leadership. After the meeting, PML leader along with the Chinese delegation went to Pakistan Muslim League Islamabad Secretariat and there participated in a function along with other PML leaders and workers and also addressed the gathering. Ch Parvez Elahi said that relations between China and Pakistan have passed onto another generation and are being further strengthened with the passage of time, Pakistan’s relations with China are not only on peoples and govt levels but also relations of PML leaders with Communist Party of China are assets of the two countries. He said the role of the Communist Party in the rapid economic, financial and scientific progress hardly needs any introduction, Communist Party is a nursery of leaders and progress and development of China during last 30 years is a beacon light for developing countries of the world. Ch Parvez Elahi further said that Pakistan wants peace in the world and for establishing peace in the world Pakistan has offered sacrifice of large number of lives, China is also following the policy of no interference in other countries affairs and wants peace in the world which a common value between the two countries. He said that people of China are fortunate to have such leaders whose aims are high. they are of strong character and they have always set personal examples to show the path of progress and development to the nation. He said further that he had visited China in 1995 as Punjab Assembly Speaker and again in 2006 as Punjab Chief Minister and had signed many agreements for trade, economic cooperation. Mr Li Jenroe said that he has come to Pakistan as an ambassador of friendship and love from the Chinese govt and the people and brought message of best wishes for Pakistani people and the leadership of the Pakistan Muslim League. He thanked the Chaudhry Brothers for being first to sent message of felicitation on the holding of 18th Congress of the Communist Party and election of new leadership and said China will continue to play its positive role for peace in the region and the world. He said Pakistan had supported China when his country was alone in the world for which Chinese people have always been grateful to Pakistan. He said the Chaudhry Brothers are not only the best friends of China but also great politicians and people of both China and Pakistan love them out of their hearts. He said the way Ch Parvez Elahi had run a big province like Punjab for five years, there is also a lesson for China in it. Mr Li Jenroe thanked Ch Parvez Elahi, leaders and workers of the Pakistan Muslim League for extending him warm and enthusiastic reception and also invited the PML leaders to visit China.
