Kamil Ali Agha says the present rulers are resorting to baseless allegations in order to cover up their corruption and inefficiency
Lahore (January 12, 2013) Pakistan Muslim League Central Information Secretary Senator Kamil Ali Agha has said that if Shahbaz Sharif had not ended our project started with international investment, underground train would have been running in Lahore now, those who have dumped trillions of rupees of public money in "Jangla Bus" and other flop schemes are now resorting to baseless allegations in order to cover up their corruption and inefficiency.
Commenting on the wrong statement of Rana Sanaullah Khan, he pointed out in a statement issued here today that our underground train service project was fully funded through international investment and not a single pie of Punjab was being utilized on its implementation. He said that because of their bad reputation, foreign institutions had declined to make any investment in the province. Senator Kamil Ali Agha maintained that there is hell of a difference between our underground train project and "Jangla Bus Service" project, our underground train project neither would have disrupted business of thousands of traders and businessmen nor any plaza or shop would have been demolished nor land would have been acquired. He said further likewise that on completion of our underground train service, 35 thousand people would have travelled by it every hour where "Jangla Bus Service" has the capacity for only five thousand people travelling by this bus service in an hour. The PML Central Information Secretary said further that operational cost of "Jangla Bus Service" is estimated to be Rs 1.35 billion per month whereas operational cost of our underground train project was zero. He questioned how the inefficient rulers who have started the biggest flop scheme in the world in the form of "Jangla Bus Service" are raising accusing fingers against our underground train project. He emphatically pointed out that it is a well-known fact that inefficient N-League rulers on assuming power had forced the international companies, who had made huge investment of billions of dollars in Punjab, to leave the province only because of their political enmity with Ch Parvez Elahi, when they realized their mistake after sometime they again requested the foreign investors for again making investment in the province but their requests were turned down by the foreign investors by saying that had made the investment in other countries by then. Senator Kamil Ali Agha said that the rulers sans any wisdom have divided Lahore in two parts through "Jangla Bus Service" project. He said because of broken roads, disorganized haphazard traffic and heavy dust all around, employees and students reach their offices and educational institutions hours late, cursing the rulers of Punjab a lot. #
