Lahore: 22-12-2012: Pakistan Muslim League senior central leader and Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi has said that cycle takes the rider to destination and lion has no brain which has rendered prosperous Punjab of our tenure bankrupt by hitting it with paws. Addressing the inaugural function of KFC and talking to media in Gujrat today, Ch Parvez Elahi said we had established industrial estates in the province to eliminate unemployment and launched mega projects to attract foreign investment. He said that in the next general elections our election symbol will remain cycle. He said that the lion hits with paws and with first paw hit, he shut our projects in the province, then hitting with paws billions of rupees were wasted, plundered and looted through schemes like Danish Schools, Sasti Roti Scheme, Yellow Cab Scheme, Mechanical Tandoor, Ashiana Housing Scheme and devastated the province. Ch Parvez Elahi maintained that as the Chief Minister, he had launched several projects and programmes for progress and development of the province, people are still benefitting from them, "my mission was also to eliminate unemployment from the province, for the industrial and trade development I established Sunder Industrial Estate, Faisalabad Garments City and industrial estates in Multan, provided opportunities to the foreign companies for investment and business in the Punjab from which local industry is also benefitting, lakhs of employment opportunities were created during my tenure".
Continuing Ch Parvez Elahi said that N-League should not be happy over its success in the bye-elections in the Punjab, in the general elections reality will be known and the people will decide in our favour because on one hand as the Punjab Chief Minister will be our grand performance of five years, historical development projects, and unparalleled and successful programmes of service to the people and on the other hand will be their worst ever performance who had squandered billions of rupees through fake and flop schemes surplus province of our tenure has been devastated and rendered under debt. He said that we had established 140 centre for education and training of deaf, dumb special children, provided them education with free transport and several other special incentives, established Child Protection Bureau for the child beggars, whatever we did for the well-being and welfare of the people we did that with proper thinking, planning and deliberations, set up cardiology hospitals in view of increase in heart ailments in the province but because of vindictive attitude of N-League, Wazirabad cardiology hospital has not yet been made functional. He said further that as the Chief Minister he had allocated funds for the blind cricket team and after three years, this team gave Pakistan gift of World Cup and the state of the art Gujrat University was also established during our tenure. On this occasion, Ch Ghulam Rasool, Muhammad Rafiq Rangoonwala and Ch Naveed Akbar also spoke while MPA Abdullah Yousuf, Khalid Asghar Ghural, Mkan Imran Masood, Mian Haroon Masood, Ch Parvaiz Pagganwala and Najeeb Ashraf Cheema were prominent among those present. #
