Recent Flood Affected to be provided subsidised items under Utility Stores Ramzan Package: Chaudhry Parvez Elahi
Islamabad (August 18,2011) Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, senior central leader of Pakistan Muslim League and senior federal ministries for industries and defence production today presided over a high level meeting in Islamabad to review the steps undertaken for the implementation of Utility Stores Ramzan package. The meeting was also attended by Mohammad Basharat Raja advisor to prime minister on industries, federal secretary Aziz Bilour, additional secretary Agha Nadeem and the acting managing director UCP Sultan Mahmud.
Presiding the meeting, Chaudhry Parvez Elahi said that the recent floods had again dislodged a large number of people. He directed the UCP officials to continue providing essential items to the flood affected at subsidised prices. He declared that he would always stand by his Pakistani brothers and sisters in the time of need. The senior federal minister expressed his satisfaction at the performance of Utility Stores’ management and staff during the current holy month of Ramzan. He said that providing financial relief to the people was his top priority. He directed the concerned government officials to prevent delays in provision of needed items at UCP outlets nationwide and said that no negligence in this regard would be tolerated
