LAHORE: President National Saraieki Party Abdul Hameed Kanju called on Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid Punjab President Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and discussed with him issues related to the southern Punjab.
Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said it was highly unfortunate that the PML-N government in the Punjab not only blocked funds for the southern Punjab but also stopped all the development projects started during the PML-Q era. He vowed to provide equal facilities to the people of southern Punjab as enjoyed by the population of Lahore after coming to power.
Abdul Hameed Kanju hailed the stand of the PML-Q for redressing the grievances of southern Punjab and supporting the demand of a separate province for the area. He also praised the remarkable steps of development taken in the era of PML-Q when Pervaiz Elahi was serving as the CM Punjab. The Saraiki leader stated that it was the PML-Q that had focused on the southern Punjab and initiated uplift projects.
