Lahore (January 5, 2010) The modern trade centers of Lahore, once the pride of the city, are now the prime targets of Punjab Government and terrorist groups. The present rulers of Punjab are ruthlessly hammering down these trade centers with no consideration for the 500,000 plus individuals facing joblessness and the loss of over 200 billion rupees of people’s hard earned money as a consequence. LDA, is now an acronym for Lahore Demolition Authority. The PML-Q parliamentarians strongly criticised the provincial government for presenting a non-representative budget prepared by bureaucrats. They alleged that the provincial government had neither incorporated the recommendations of the finance minister nor parliamentarians in the budget.
Talking with The News, Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly Ch Zaheer and senior leader Ch Moonis Elahi said the government had not mentioned any mega project in the budget book. They claimed that the provincial the provincial government had tried to hide its administrative inefficiency through putting everything on terrorism. They alleged that the government could neither achieve the determined 60 million ton target of wheat procurement nor the farmers got the officially announced rate of their commodity.
